Yesterday, around the same time that I am writing this blog, the above picture was taken in nearby Limoux. This small but very old city has a number of churches of which the one in this pictures is least visible, hidden behind the old multi story homes on the “other” side of the river Aude.

It caught my eye because of the beautiful golden setting sun light that gave this building a fantastic hue and both crosses were basked in this golden light.

While I was waiting for my friend to finish her business, I walked up the slope and found that this small church was completely surrounded by other buildings and there was no way you could take a picture of the total building …

With the deep blue sky over it, I had to take this shot and have the golden light set off against the blue sky. Then it occurred to me that principally I was taking a picture of three spires, 2 made by the crosses and one by the tower next to it. How “inspiring” ! And how trinity is pointing upward to the sky!  And what is the connection with spirituality…..

A lot of thoughts and concepts coming up and how these archetypical things so color our mind and our feelings. I was really touched by having found this perfect moment of the day at this perfect place… and how easy it is to feel rich and blessed by just accepting this as a present in the double sense of the word.

In my activities as a regional guide this type of moments are being offered regularly and/or I taking notice of them is because of more awareness then before.
