The photo above is showing the Dungeon in Arques, a small town in Cathar Country, famous for it’s former inhabitant Deodat Rocher who proclaimed to be a Cathar. It has an interesting museum and a nice church.

he Tower itself is an absolute must to see. It is located just outside of the village which is special in itself, and houses a well kept museum.

In the back on this picture, you can just make out the most famous village in France: Rennes le Chateau, on the lower hill top (to the right of the tower) and all the way in the back are the Pyrenees.

This beautiful landscape is all part of the books of Henry Lincoln c.s. about the Holy Grail mysteries, the stories about Mary Magdelene and the history of the Knights Templar and the Cathars.

Even when not interested in these elements, our trips in this area (click to go to our website) will offer so much of great places and fantastic nature that it is worth sharing and coming with us.

Every corner opens up to new views and completely different aspects of a land that has been open to so many different people from all over the world. It is really a very hospitable environment.

Looking forward to welcoming you with us…..
