Standing stones are but one of the impressive features of the area where we currently live and where we organize our journeys (click here for link), in which we share treasures like the one above.

There are many theories about the origin of these “Pierres Dressees” varying from druid stones, to communication means, to antennas etc.

You may have a theory of your own, and that might also be true. With this kind of phenomena there is never One Truth.

Standing Stones are also just what they are: markers. Put there for a reason. That reason might be the same for all of them all of the time, or might be different in different periods.

One thing is sure: standing stones exhale a certain energy which is very noticeable when approaching them.

Being also a practical person, I always try to figure out how They got the stone where it is now (it must weigh tons). And then the question arises: who is They? Your imagination can run wild on these questions.

Intriguing as these stones may be, a piece like this also gives me the impression that I am at the right place, at the right time, under the right conditions. Like  being “Home”. And is that not what we want to experience ultimately?
